Jodhpur

In Jodhpur I had a really great cup of cappucino.

That’s it.  That’s pretty much all I could come up with to write about Jodhpur.  It’s a great city to visit.  It has a nice fort with a good audio guide, a palace with a hotel in it, a beautiful mausoleum and an atmospheric old city.  Unfortunately, so does every other city I’ve visited in Rajasthan and north India, it seems.

It does have a place with the best espresso drinks I’ve found in India though.   Near the clock tower at the corner of the heritage hotel haveli there’s a sign for Espresso Cafe.  Go there and enjoy.  The owner/manager is very nice and doesn’t believe me that he should open his coffee shop before 10 AM for more business from westerners.  Go help convince him.

Or just go through Jodhpur in a day.  It’s not a bad place to stay, but you can see everything in one day and there is plenty more to see in Rajasthan.
